My Approach
With all projects, I start with a discovery chat. This allows me to understand what the client specifically wants, estimate how long the project may take, outline a rough budget, and establish a starting point for research. It is also an important opportunity for the client to get to know me, set out what they want from the start, ask any questions they have and see if I am the right fit for their project.
Of course, details vary depending on the discovery chat. To keep the project moving forward, (especially for tight deadlines). I like to arrange meetings throughout the project. In the beginning and middle stages, these are mainly used as revision rounds where verbal feedback can be given. Towards the final stage, I go through the remaining steps to ensure a smooth finish. My process overall is very collaboration‑focused, working closely with the client to deliver what they are looking for.

I advised the client and listed three platforms that would work best for the site they wanted, explaining the plans on Squarespace and Wix for their situation. From there, I gathered all the material they wanted to display on their portfolio images, text, and the colour palette they had chosen and began blocking out the layout in greyscale. This allowed me to focus on consistency and establish a stable, repeatable structure, which was especially important for showcasing the client’s different projects
Next, I worked out which colours from the palette would be effective for headings, section backgrounds, and overall balance without clashing with the images. Once that was sorted and I had three of the client’s projects placed in a structure that aligned with what they wanted, feedback began. It was important to confirm the structure before applying it to the remaining projects to keep the workflow efficient and deadline‑aware. After this point, the process was feedback, refinement, and final adjustments, and I explained what would happen next.
Once I delivered the website, I also gave advice on useful future steps to consider for taking the site further.
